 1. General information
1.1 Location
 Tambon Tapapoom Administration Organization is situated 10 kilometers southerly far from the Mae Hong Son’s District Office.
 
1.2 Area
 Total areas are about 135 square kilometers or approximately 84,375rai of land.
 The North borders with Tambon Mae La Noi, Mae La Noi district, Mae Hong Son.
 The South borders with Tambon Ban Kad, Mae Sariang district, Mae Hong Son.
 The East borders with Tambon Mae La Noi, Mae La Noi district, Mae Hong Son.
 The West borders with Tambon Mae La Noi, Mae La Noi district, Mae Hong Son.

 1.3 Landscape
 Most of the land areas are the plateau located in the National Park and in the right border of Mae Yuam Park. The cultivation land is totally ¼ percent of the whole area. The main streams are Mae Yuam and other small streams used for agricultural practices.

 1.4 Number of villages
 There are 13 villages as followings;
  Moo 1 – Ban Mae Sa-kued, Ban Yom, Ban Mae Kwangtai
  Moo 2 – Ban Huay Phueng, Ban Yom, Ban Sammok, Ban Kieo, Ban Maepotha
